Project: Commercial Studies project for Grade 10 students can involve collecting information on Delhi Haat and its commercial aspects, and other related information.

The purpose of the project is to explore how Delhi Haat functions as a cultural and commercial hub, supporting local artisans and promoting
Indian crafts. Provide a short introduction about Delhi Haat, its location, and what it offers (crafts, food, cultural experiences).

Students should focus on the following key areas for research:

Delhi Haat’s Structure and Functioning: What is Delhi Haat?: Briefly describe the market, its origin, and its main attractions (handicrafts, food, and cultural events). Location and Significance: Where is it located? Why is it a popular place for both locals and tourists?

  • Economic Activities at Delhi Haat: Revenue Generation. How does Delhi Haat make money? (e.g., entrance fees, rent from stalls, sales from food and crafts). What kinds of products are sold, and how do they contribute to revenue?
  • Types of Businesses: What types of stalls are there? (crafts, food, clothes, art, etc.). Who runs these businesses? (local artisans, small vendors, etc.).

Students should organize their findings clearly:

  • Introduction: Briefly introduce Delhi Haat and its significance.
  • Main Content: Divide the main content into sections based on the research areas (e.g., Economic Impact, Local Businesses, Cultural Aspects, etc.).
  • Conclusion: Summarize the findings and discuss how Delhi Haat contributes to the economy, culture, and society. Mention any suggestions for improving its commercial success or sustainability.

Visual Elements: Students are encouraged to include pictures, maps, or diagrams: Photos of Delhi Haat or the items sold there (if available). A simple diagram showing how Delhi Haat operates commercially (e.g., flowchart showing revenue generation: ticket sales → stall rentals → product sales).

The company ensures the availability of their products to as many outlets as possible making it very convenient for the buyers. People can also buy the products online with facilities like cash on delivery and guaranteed one day delivery in selected 300 cities and towns. The company advertises its products on different kinds of media to reach out to a maximum number of people. Their product advertisement is simple yet informative and persuasive. For providing better customer service, the company has set up an improved system of 24 hour customer care that ensures that the callers do not have to wait. With reference to the above:

(a) Identify and briefly explain the basic elements of marketing mix of SSDR Care Ltd.
(b) Enumerate the factors influencing in marketing mix generally followed by the business
enterprise.
(c) Briefly explain the importance of marketing mix.

TOPIC: Marketing Mix
Study the product life cycle (PLC) of a new soap in the price range of Rs 50-100.

TOPIC: Advertising
Study two different advertisements in any one media (print, television, audio) of the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) on Beauty products and explain their positive and negative points.

TOPIC: Public Relations
Students will read and study a case on the topic and answer the questions based on it.
