- Relations and Function
- Applications of Set Theory (Venn Diagrams in Real Life)
- Trigonometry
- Probability & Statistics (e.g., analyzing a cricketer’s graph)
- Sequences & Series (Fibonacci Numbers). Fibonacci sequence, their properties and similar patterns found in nature
- Use of Differential calculus in construction of buildings
- Statistic – Collect data and analyse for standard deviation and mean deviation.
- Linear Programming – collect data from families of their expenditures
- Logarithms in Finance, or Functions (Increasing/Decreasing)
Examples
Project: Trigonometry: Concepts and Applications
The aim of this project is to study the basic concepts of trigonometry, understand trigonometric ratios and their interrelationships, and analyse their practical applications in daily life, such as height and distance measurements, using mathematical reasoning and diagrams.
The project also aims to develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills through the use of diagrams, calculations, and mathematical reasoning.
Relations and Functions: Concepts and Applications
Mathematics encompasses the study of patterns and relationships, and using relations and functions is one fundamental way of expressing relationships between quantities.
The aim of this project is to develop a clear understanding of relations and functions, their classification, domain and range, and to demonstrate their practical relevance through real-life examples and graphical interpretation.
