Materials needed: Torch, 3 cardboard pieces of the same sizes, Blackboard (or a black-covered book)
Procedure:
Make a hole in the three cardboards.
First Setup:
- Place the 3 cardboards in a straight line.

- Turn on the torch and point it at the hole of the first cardboard, check if light falls on the blackboard.
Second Setup:
- Take the middle cardboard and raise (or lower) it slightly so that the holes are not in line.
- Turn on the torch and point it at the hole of the first cardboard and check if light still falls on the blackboard
Observation:
- In the first setup, light falls on the blackboard.
- In the second setup, light does not fall on the blackboard.
