create your own worksheets

A worksheet is an effective way to check a students’ understanding of a topic and is also an effective mechanism to monitor their learning progress. Here are the various ways in which you can create your own worksheets for various chapters and topics.

Worksheets are an important part of the education system nowadays.

It makes it so much easier to assess if the young students have understood important concepts taught in the class.

A worksheet basically means a sheet of paper (printed page) on which a student does some work.

Most schools nowadays give worksheets to school students, at the end of a so that the child can practice at home. It’s also a great way to track a child’s progress.

Most importantly, just before the exams or on the day before the exam, worksheets are a great way to quickly revise the portion relevant for the exam. It works wonderfully with the smaller kids.

However, a practical problem that many parents face is that they don’t find all the worksheets, which the school had provided, when they actually need it. A few worksheets are always missing (either the kid forgets it in the school or it is misplaced).

Most parents wish they could make their own worksheets so that they could give some additional practice material to their kids, be it for tracing, coloring, fractions, or any other topic.

Surprisingly, there are many schools that do not provide worksheets yet.

So there are parents who wish there was some easier way to create worksheets. They could use worksheets for effective teaching at home.

While no option is very easy, there are a few ways in which you can create your own printable worksheets, be it for home use or for the classroom.

  • Make printable worksheet using Canva application, (perfect for teachers for classroom use). You can create any worksheet using of clipart images, borders, school fonts and shapes.

Well, alternatively you don’t have much of a choice (in case you are not comfortable using apps/software) but to hand-draw or write and make your own worksheets. Its not that difficult for students in primary section, but manually making the worksheets can be difficult for kids in the higher standards/grades.
